(With permission from Bella's new owners, and after editing out all names for privacy purposes) here are some comments that we've gotten from Bella's new owners. ***Bella went to a family with 2 small girls. Here is an email we received from those girl's Mom:
"You guys could not have done a better job with Bella!! She is so sweet! She comes right to us, she has been brushed (over and over!!), her hair has been braided (welcome to beauty camp!), and I have cleaned her hooves! Adam has driven by her on the lawn mower and the girls have run around and played near her - doesn't faze her!
We have been playing the "go, whoa game" where we click and she follows, then we say whoa and she stops and looks at us waiting for instruction. She is amazing!
Thank you, thank you, thank you! We are so excited to have her. Thank you for allowing us to buy Bella from you!"
Part of a different email:
"Hey! I just wanted let you know that our riding instructor came out today and was very impressed with Bella! She's given us a training routine for the next 6 weeks, then she will come back out and give us more stuff to add."
We've also gotten other emails from this family, mostly full of praise for this pony. However, several of the emails had to do with an issue they were having with Bella while she was on the lunge line. We have continued to communicate with the family and try to help them work out these issues. We feel so happy every time we hear from them, and hear how much they love their new pony! Please know that if you buy a pony from us, we WANT you to enjoy that pony, and will do our best to offer suggestions that might make getting to know and work with your new pony a little easier!
Another email from Bella's new owner, about 2 weeks into owning her:
"I have a question. Did you feel Bella seemed scared during lunging? Our riding instructor wanted us to do it before letting (daughter) ride. Bella has a side she prefers and it is hard to get her to switch sides. But, she seems to have a scared look in her eyes. Is this normal? She seems very at ease when I lead (daughter's name) around and even when I am just leading her around, but lunging really gives her a wild look.
Thanks!
We're happy to say that we've since received more emails about Bella's progress with this family. The fact that this family has a riding instructor helping them on occasion, and (hopefully) some advice from us, and (of course) lots of work on their part has helped them get Bella working calmly for them...helped them communicate better with her.
Another email, letting us know how they are progressing with Bella:
"Hey! I just wanted to let you know that our riding instructor came over and worked with (daughter)and Bella yesterday. She had so many good things to say! She was impressed with how adjusted Bella was and calm and loving toward us. She couldn't get over how much calmer (head down, etc) that Bella was while being ridden and lunged. She didn't think that she would be where she is now so quickly. She really is doing great! I hope you guys are too :-)"
We are so happy that Bella and her new family have learned to mesh well together! We want the best for the ponies we offer for sale, and want their new owners to enjoy their new pony!!
So to Bella's new family: Keep the emails and pictures coming! We love hearing from you!
Happy riding! ~Ansley, Dusty, and Dusty's Mom. :)
